Bill Powers Chairman
Mr. Powers is the founder of Powers Asset Management, LLC, a significant shareholder of PetroGlobe, and is the portfolio manager for the Powers Energy Fund, LP. Prior to founding Powers Asset Management, LLC, he conducted independent research covering the North American E&P sector. Mr. Powers holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University, Washington, DC.
Jason James, CA Chief Executive Officer
Mr. James is a Chartered Accountant with over 13 years of experience. He began his career with Price Waterhouse Coopers in their audit/assurance practice serving clients in both Canada and New Zealand in a variety of industries. He later took a financial role with a large Calgary-based company in the agricultural industry before moving to an internationally integrated energy company where he held senior roles in Finance and Strategic Planning.
Robert C. Macaulay, P.Eng.
Mr. Macaulay has 23 years industry experience in petroleum engineering, field development planning and business development. Most recently he held the post of VP Engineering and Production at Centurion Energy International Inc., which was sold at over 30,000 boepd in 2007. His past experience includes positions of increasing responsibility at Vermilion Resources, Shell (both in Canada and the Sultanate of Oman) and PanCanadian Petroleum Ltd. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University, Ontario, and is a member of APEGGA and SPE.
J. Michael Gatens
Mr. J Michael Gatens is the CEO of Unconventional Gas Resources Canada ("UGRC"). UGRC is a Calgary-based private oil and gas company with a sister company, Unconventional Gas Resources, in Bryan, Texas. Both companies are focused on developing unconventional gas resources in North America. Michael was formerly Chairman and Advisor at Quicksilver Resources Canada Inc. (QRCI), the wholly owned Canadian subsidiary of Quicksilver Resources Inc. (KWK: NYSE). Michael co-founded MGV Energy Inc. in 1997, which was merged into Quicksilver Resources in 2000, becoming QRCI in 2006. MGV was one of Canada’s first developers of coalbed methane. He is Past-Chairman and Honorary Member of the Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas (CSUG), and on the Board of the Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada (PTAC). Michael received the Alberta Centennial Medal in 2005 and the Sproule Award for career achievement in unconventional gas in 2006. He served on the Alberta Government Multi-stakeholder Advisory Committee (MAC) for natural gas from coal development and the Alberta Land Use Framework growth and management working group. Michael is also a director of PetroGlobe Inc. Prior to starting MGV, Michael worked for consultants S.A. Holditch & Associates, leaving as Director and VP of the Eastern U.S. Division. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered professional engineer in Texas and a member of APEGGA. Michael was named a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in 2000, served on the SPE International Board from 1995-97, and has been active on numerous SPE Boards and Committees. He also served on the Board of the Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) from 1994 to 2003 and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Board of Governors from 2004 - 2008.
J. Paul Lawrence, CA
Mr. J. Paul Lawrence has over 30 years in the oil and gas industry in both private and public companies in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, investor relations, tax and financial reporting. Mr. Lawrence is currently the Vice President Finance and CFO of Arsenal Energy Inc., a TSX Exchange listed Company.
Mr. Lawrence graduated from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Canadian, Alberta and Ontario Institutes of Chartered Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute.
